Today is Father's Day, and even though I have not been keeping up with this blog...today I have to write.A letter to My Grandfather Who Raised Me
Grandpa,
I love you and I want you to know that even though I was just a pup when..., I do remember how you used to cradle me in your soft paws.
You used to tell me stories of how our home estuary used to be...
green plants, singing birds, and fish swimming through the flowing waters.
I close my eyes and imagine it.
Unfortunately, now things at home became even worse then when you where with me.
Some plants are dying and no longer hold the earth, so the water has gotten dirty.
As plants rot, they also use up the oxygen the fish need.
The decay is spreading through the estuary…now even the ocean is getting dirty.
...but I am not putting up with this any longer. I am going to get help.
There is an Oracle somewhere out there and she has the magic answers to how to save our home estuary.
I am leaving tonight, and no matter how far and how long...I will walk until I find her.
I will do whatever I need to do to fix my estuary, so it is like in the tales you whispered in my ears.
Love you always,
Oscar the Otter
